Mark joined the team in January 2018, hired by private equity owner Cabot Square Capital to accelerate the investment in the platform, and scale it’s reach in providing finance to UK SMEs.
Mark is the former CEO of RBS Corporate Banking, and enjoyed leadership roles in Barclays in the UK and Europe, and Non Executive Director of Direct Line Group Plc at the time of its IPO. Mark has 30 years’ experience in financial services, mostly in corporate and SME finance, helping to build and grow successful businesses

Joined Propel as Head of Legal in January 2019 to form Propel’s first in-house legal function. Holds responsibility for ensuring all Propel’s products and services comply with both the letter and spirit of their legal obligations. Has over 15 years’ experience as a legal advisor, having worked both in private practice and in-house. Works in partnership with all Propel teams, and believes the best legal advice comes from knowing a business “inside and out”.
